OpenWFE doesn't need a construct for handling directly the synchronzing merge. This pattern is intended as an end to the 'Multi-choice' pattern (#6), in the example displayed in that pattern, the 'synchronizing merge' is performed through a combination of 'simple merges' (if) nested into a 'synchronization' (concurrence).
